Pedigree.

Sire Line : Lancelot's pedigree is one of the finest jumping backrounds to come into Ireland. His Sire is the legendary Voltaire. As an 8 yr old in 1988 he competed on winning Nations Cup Teams with in Calgary, Stockholm, s'Hertogenbosch, Lanaken, Helsinki, Wiesbaden & Wembley with Emiel Hendrix. His career ended in 1989 with him winning the Grand Prix of Berlin with Jos Lansink. Voltaire's sire Furioso 11 (SF), produced 200 premium broodmares & at least 68 approved stallions. Voltaire has at least 18 approved sons that are producing well for the sport. Gottard can also be seen in many top German Lines & is seen in the pedigree of Corghano also. Voltaire's dam GoGo Mover jumped with Emiel Hendrix to National Level. Voltaire's progeny are spread world wide, his progeny are seen to be easy rides, proven out by the American title of 'Huntersire of the Year' in 2001, 02 & 03. He has lists of top quality jumping stock :International Horses -> Alaire-Beth Underhill, the now popular sire Concorde - Jos Lansink; Dante - Rob Ehrens; Domaire - Hubert Bourdy ; Dudley - Leslie McNaught; Especiale - Eric Van der Leuten ; Electre - Peter Ericksson; Extreme - Leslie Howard; Finesse - Emile Hendrix; Florence - Lone Kroman; Flyer - Philip Rosier; Gyltaire-Michael Whitaker; Play it Again- Ian Miller & Quality Time - Nicole Simpson, to name but a few.

This family is extremely competitive through the last 20 years. Many of the family have been exported due to their talent & ease of riding. Lancelot himself passes this to his progeny.

 
 
 

Dam Line : Diadeem is a Keur Preferent Sport Springen mare , she was a good competition mare jumping to 1.40m Level before retiring to stud. She is by the legendary sire Nimmerdor. He was ridden to international level at shows such as Berlin, Paris, Gothenburg, Dortmund & London by Albert Vroon & is the founding sire of the famous VDL Stud in the Netherlands. He has over 50 approved sons including Ahorn, Daimler, Heartbreaker, Zadock, Nondor Fortuna. He has produced over 60 International Showjumping Horses including VDL Everest, Broere Goldenridge, San Patrignano Avenir & the superstar , Heartbreaker. Nimmerdor is also the sire of Dressage horses including the popular sire Wellington. Diadeem has produced a number of top class horses including the International Horses -Lancelot & his full brother 'Montevideo' competing with Jean Marc Nicolas; 'Rochester' competing at CSIO 5* ; 'Smaragd' competing at Nations Cup level in South America, the 1.40 mare Notre Dame; 'Toujours' (2000 Stallion) competing in International Young Horse Classes with Rudi Mueller. Diadeem has 2 Preferent Sons, 1 Keur Preferent Sport daughter & 2 Preferent daughters, with some youngster still to be tested.

Diadeem's dam Passe was also a Keur Preferent mare, producing the International Horse 'Barones'(Keur Preferent Sport)who competed with David Jobertie, the 1.40 mare Edelvrouw (Keur Preferent), Grand Prix mare 'Fortuna' (Ster Sport); Homerus, competed to 1.40m, the Keur mare Majesteit. Passe is by the proliferent TB sire Erdball who can be seen in top Dutch Lines, he had 3 licenced sons & 3 licenced grandsons earning him Preferent status.

 

 

Performance.

Lancelot was produced & ridden by Peiter Koopmans of the Netherlands. He competed to International 5 Star Show level, with placings in classes to 1.50m . He won a Junior Team Gold Medal in 2002 & was reserve on the Young Riders Silver winning Dutch Team in 2003. He has a long list of Junior & Young Rider wins & placings for the Dutch throughout Europe while Pieter was under 21. He was a consistent performer, very neat, scopy & brave. He continues his career with Sinead Kennedy when not busy at Stud, in 2008 he only did 5 shows, he qualified for the RDS YR the 1st day, went back to stud, then went to Coilog before Dublin, clear, was 4th in the Qualifier & 3rd in the YR Final & then on to Millstreet where he jumped many clears. He was 5th in the National Speed Championship @ Barnadown. He was 2nd in the Young Rider Grand Prix at the Pony Owners in Millstreet. He is a true gentleman & a pleasure to have in the stable.
