We aim to give you, the breeder, an efficient service, but it is also important that you present your mare to the stud healthy & in a condition to ensure maximum fertility. It is advised that your mare be flu-vaccinated & wormed prior to travel to the stud. Mares seen to be unhealthy will not be accepted to the stud. Mares & foals will receive all possible care while with us, but no responsibility can be taken for accident, loss or disease while at the stud. Veterinary intervention will be called if deemed necessary, with immediate notification to the owner, and this is directly charged by the Veterinary Surgeon to you the breeder. All mares are serviced at their owners risk an no responsibility will be taken for injury, damage or loss while teasing or serving any mare.

Stud Fees.

The Kennedy Family strives to bring you, the breeder, a World Class line up of Stallions. These horses have been purchased by us & we now have a full time staff offering you our top quality service. We have huge overheads annually to run the stud & we can only continue to provide you with this service if we are paid for our work. Please note that all Stud Fees & additional charges are laid out below & we will be enforcing these terms in 2008. We do not wish to cause offence if we refuse you our service due to non-payment of accounts due.

All fees can be paid by Visa, Bankers Draft, Post Office Draft, Cheque or Cash.

Aldatus Z - E1300 ; E500 deposit before covering & E800 when scanned in foal at 21 Days or by 1st Oct.

Defi Platiere - E800 ; E400 deposit before covering & E400 when scanned in foal at 21 Days or by the 1st Oct.

Lancelot - E800 : E400 deposit before covering & E400 when scanned in foal at 21 Days or 1st Oct.

Corghano - E600 : E300 deposit before covering & E300 when mare is scanned in foal at 21 Days or by 1st October.

Sunny Boy - E600 ; E300 deposit before covering & E300 when mare is scanned in foal at 21 Days or by 1st October.

Oke Boy - E500 ; E200 deposit before coverig & E300 when mare is scanned in foal at 21 Days or by 1st October.

Chacoa - E800 ; E400 deposit before covering & E400 when mare is scanned in foal at 21 Days or by 1st October.

KEC Diamond Millinium - E500; E200 deposit before covering & E300 when the mare is scanned in foal or by the 1st of October.

Marmite D'Or - E400 payable before covering.

The deposit is taken before covering. E100 of the deposit is non-refundable for labour & materials while on site or if sending semen, if the mare does not go in foal. The remainder of the fee is due by the 1st October. If the mare is not in foal, & the stud fee fully paid, the owner is entitled to service that particular mare the following year, No Foal Free Return (NFFR). Please note that all covering certificates will be issued when the mare is scanned in foal & all invoices are paid in full.

Veterinary Fees :

On arrival at the stud you choose one of the local equine vets to deal with your mare. All expenses incurred for visits, examinations & medicines will be invoiced direct to you by the vet. Please ensure that these bills are paid promptly as foal certificates will not be issued until all bills are paid in full to the vet.

Livery

We encourage you to keep your mare at home & present her to the stud when she is at peak fertility, have her covered & then take her home, but if a mare must remain on site for a period of time the following charges will apply

: Mare at Grass = E5/day ------ Mare & foal (stabled) E8/day or E55/week

All livery bills must be paid before the mare leaves the yard. The owner of the mare must collect his own mare & pay his own bills, agents will not be allowed collect any breeder's mare without full payment of outstanding accounts.

Chilled Transported Semen.

Please contact the stud well in advance of the mare season to discuss stallion choice, veterinary surgeon & transport facilities to your area.

All deposits must be lodged well in advance of the semen being transported. Also Visa Card details will be required for security for our Transport containers. If there is an emergency, we accept mares are not regular, please call with Visa Card details & the semen may then be transported. All mare details including IHR Number & vet contact must be lodged before the semen is sent.

The Insemination form must be returned immediately with the containers. These must be signed by the Vet & also must include the Micro-Chip number of the mare.

Semen Transport Containers must be returned immediately by registered post. Your Visa Card will be debited after 14 Days if the container is not returned; E50 for the styrofoam boxes; E700 for the blue Equitainers.

Frozen Semen for KEC Maximum Joe.

We are currently taking a limited number of bookings for 'Joe' as we have only a limited stock available to us due to his competition commitments. Frozen Semen will be deposited with a number of top vets experienced in Frozen Semen, there will be no frozen semen available at Kennedy Equine Centre. Once our booking list is full & all deposits paid, we will then distribute each breeder's batch of semen to the vet of his/her choice from the Veterianry Surgeon List provided. You will abide by the terms of covering of the vet in question & any health certifications he may require before presenting your mare to his clinic. You, the breeder, will be liable for all Veterinary Bills to that vet. Once the deposit fees are paid to the stud for the semen you will then liase directly with your vet & he will then inform us of pregnancy.

Fee for 2008 = E2000.

E500 non refundable deposit payable before semen is deposited with the vet + balance of E1,500 is to be paid when the mare is re-scanned in foal by the inseminating vet at 45 Days. Visa Card details must be submitted for/with the deposit, if payment is not received by 10 days after the 45 Day scan, your Visa Card will be debited the remainder of the fee.You will receive a receipt of this payment from us by post. The mare will get coverings for 3 cycles only. If the mare does not have a foal in 2009 after being scanned in foal at 45 Days, the Fee paid of E1,500 will go forward to 2009, a non- refundable deposit of E500 will be taken from this fee to continue the work in 2009.

It is in everyones best interest that the mare goes in foal, KEC Maximum Joe's semen quality is excellent but it is strongly advised to have your mare in peak condition & follow all advise given by your vet
