His sire, Cordalme Z competed at the highest level on German Nations Cup Teams with rider/owner Gilbert Bockmann. He sired two horses that jumped in the Sydney Olympics, Careful for France & Calvaro for Argentina. Cordalme Z was rated as 'the Top German Sire' by Paul Schockemohle. He is the sire of Couleur Rubin that is now competeing with Ludgar Beerbuam & jumped in the World Cup finals in Las Vegas, 2005.

Corghano's dam line is one of the strongest pedigree lines in Germany. Ghana's sire Gottard is also the sire of Voltaire, one of the most popular stallions in continental breeding at the moment. Corghano was the last offspring foaled to Ghana & her other progeny were also successful; First Ghana was Champion Oldenburg Mare; Zimbo, Laghhano & Lady Liberty competed to high levels. Lady Liberty competed to Grand Prix Level. She was Silver Medalist in the 7 Year Old World breeders Championship in Lanaken, was 2nd in the Eurocard Class in Bremen & Lecawarlen & was a finalist in the Eurocard Championships in Berlin.

Corghano has only a limited number of older stock due to his jumping commitments. He has a son approved as a stallion by the Oldenburg Society. He has horses jumping to M -Level on the Continent - Caprice de Maibelle, Candle Light, Caracus & Cordano. His stock are stamped with his presence, correctness, elastic paces, technique & scope. His oldest stock in Ireland are 3 yr olds in 2006 & we are delighted with the feedback from our breeders. He had a number of stock in the Young Irelander & we have a number of 3 yr olds ourselves & they look to be very big movers & extremely athletic loose schooled! They show Power & Super Technique in front with super paces. We think he is going to be a very positive impact on the Irish Breeding programme over the next few years. His ideal cross of broodmare is a blood mare.
