Sires of the World, Lanaken, ’06

Performance ; KEC Maximum Joe competed with Neil Feron last season, based out of Niall Talbot’s, Switz Yard. He was the leading young horse in Villamoura on the Spring Sunshine Tour. He was well placed all summer at 1.30m & moved into 1.40m classes at the end of the season. He is considered by many as being one of the top young horses in Europe at the moment.

Willem Greve at De Watermolen Stud, home of the now deceased Voltaire, in Holland, has taken over the ride of ‘Joe’ this season & has proven to be the rising star in Dutch Showjumping. He competed on the Italian Sunshine Tour in Arezzo for April & return to Holland for the Summer Season. He was 2nd in his first Grand Prix & jumped his first big class in the Sires of the World at Lanaken, with only 4 faults in the Final, a super achievement for an 8 yr old.

Balouga, 3 yr old sister of KEC Maximum Joe ( x Balou de Rouet, dam- Penny Lane, was sold at Public Auction for Euro52,000.

Lasangos with Klaus Reinacher GER

KEC Maximum Joe comes from a long line of performers. His sire Lasangos is of the famous Landgraf Line, he competed in Germany winning the Bundschampionship (equivalent of the Boomerang) before being sold to Princess Haya of Jordan who competed him to International Level. His dam is the preferent mare Penny Lane by the legendary Pilot, going back to Weinberg on the Grand Dam’s side.

‘KEC Maximum Joe is the true star of the future. He has three super paces & would be quite comfortable in the Dressage Arena also. He stands over very good straight limbs with plenty of power through his back. He has a beautiful head with large kind eyes, he is a proper gentleman to work with. He shows elasticity, technique, scope, stride & a true will to win, he is the complete athlete. Due to ‘Joe’s hectic competition schedule we only covered a selected number of our own mares last season and his first offspring have arrived, all true to type (see pics below) .
