 2002 – KEC Alicante & Kieran Kennedy win the LEE STRAND Young Irelander. KEC Alicante : 1999 gelding x Glidawn Diamond; dam x Senang Hati (TB) Bred by KEC Team K.E.C. Team K.E.C. had a wonderful run over the last few years, both in Horses and Ponies. We produce young horses to compete on the National Circuit and then hopefully they will make their way to new owners after a year or two of competition experience. The motto is to work slowly & methodically with the youngsters and this will hopefully allow the horses to compete at their required level, from Amateur to International, both confidently & for long fruitful careers.  2003 – KEC Little Nakita wins Munster RDS 148cm A Qualifier  2004 – KEC Clarissa wins Cavan 3 yr old Championship with Liam Kennedy.  2003 – K.E.C. Alicante with Sinead Kennedy – Winner of the Kerrygold National Discovery, Millstreet. History is made as he is the only horse ever to return to win the 4 Yr Old Championship Producing our Youngsters Soundness is all important and therefore we compete our horses lightly as 4 & 5 year olds. We rear our horses on the best quality limestone land of the famous Golden Vale, until they are 3 year olds & then we bring them home to KEC to work with them. The farms are peaceful havens & when you walk into the fields on summer evenings you could see 20 of the same age lying happily under the sinking sun. This easy time allows them to develop their body & limbs, as we feel Irish Horses need the extra year to mature both mentally & physically and therefore they may compete for a longer career.  K.E.C.
